Mario and Sonic at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games is a 2019 sports video game based on the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Crossover between the Mario franchise, owned by Nintendo and the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, owned by Sega. It is the first video game that companies make after regaining the rights behind the Mario and Sonic video game at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. It was developed and published by Sega for Nintendo Switch in November 2019, and will be released for arcade cabinets sometime in 2020.
